There is a swimming area with a created "beach" and playground.

Love, Chester Frost Park!!!! One of my favorite places to walk, swim, picnic, boat and camp. Have spent a lot of my summers here. Love to walk here at sunset.

Great for day use. Has public bathrooms that are acceptable, not terribly clean. About what one could expect could from a state park.

At night it's calm and peaceful people leave you alone while you fish during the day it's completely different up beat fun and playful at the park/ beach or you can go and hang out and eat Klondike bars with your date good place to make memories all the way around

I love state parks, but this one needs some attention. They close the playground/"beach" area far too soon and they close it down for the season toob early as well... then they wait until almost summer to reopen it. Kind of ridiculous.

This park has a nice lake and beach. We came here with our toddlers, about 15 months and 3.5 years old. They had a blast. The water was a little deep for the youngest one (who spent most of the time playing in the sand), but it was perfect for the older one to wade and practice swimming, with close adult supervision. The water within the roped area was a bit too deep at the deepest parts for our oldest, but he stayed in the shallower parts where he could wade easily. Even though this was in late summer, just before autumn, the water in the shallow parts was warm.

Waterways are nice. Covered pavilions available. It's pretty.
